Look - an electric truck! And apparently it comes pre-filled with Starbucks coffee. What better kind of truck could they invent? This little zero-emission baby reaches a top speed of 50 mph, accelerates 0-30 mph faster than a diesel truck, and has a range of 150 miles per charge. Not enough to haul coffee from Seattle to Chicago, perhaps, but the Smith Newton is perfect for in-city deliveries from shop to shop. Smith is building a plant in Fresno and plans to have the first Newtons roll off the assembly line by 2010.
Just another small step on the road to a zero-emissions world.
