Nerdy word fun

Carl Zimmer posted a excellent online word toy, Wordle. It makes word clouds out of any blog or book, with the most frequently used words the most prominent. Unlike the dignified “coli” of Zimmer’s book Microcosm or “species” of Darwin’s Origin, the Oyster’s Garter features “turd.” WOOHOO! POOP POWER! Anyone looking for dignity can gai kakhen afenyam.

    The biggest word on my cloud? “Brian.” Because two of the most recent books I reviewed have characters named Brian. Yay coincidence!

    “Turd” is way more fun.

    I love the idea of your sky blanket, any hdamdane item with a story behind it is extra special. I think my blanket would end up very grey – we don’t get enough blue skies up here in Skye!!I love the colours of your bright squares, totally reminds me of a crochet blanket my grandma had made when I was a kid.
